Sugar Creek Stamping: Flowers for Every Season

Welcome to another Triple Play Thursday. I'm so excited about the cards this week, it is difficult to pick a favorite. I'm using the Lovely You bundle of products, both the stamp set and the punch are amazing, so versatile.

The card design is basic strips of printed paper or card stock adhered to a standard background layers, but look at the flexibility. Fun, bright and happy. Hope you are inspired to make and send a paper hug today!

The feature card today is so very pretty. The card base color is Purple Posey, partnered with Night of Navy and highlighting the Playing with Patterns printed Paper. Choose some printed paper that compliment the Purple Posey card base. The stripes are cut in widths 1/2 inch to 1 inch and the lengths vary to fit the 5 inch x 3 3/4 inch piece of white card stock. Each strip is punched with the coordinating punch from the Lovely You bundle. When putting the card front together, I started from the edge and worked toward the middle, overlaying the strips just a bit. The center strip is the widest and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2 inch wide strip of whisper white with the ends punched using the same design as the individual strips. Add a bow and some coordinating resin dots for the finishing touches.

The next card is a "make your own" printed paper. The flower and leaf images in the stamp set was used to create unique background designs. The color combination for this card is Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, and Coastal Cabana. The stamped images are in coordinating ink on each strip of card stock. Heat emboss a sentiment on a scrap of black cardstock, and add a few rhinestones and black ribbon for the finishing touches.

The third card features one of the new in-colors Misty Moonlight, partnered with coordinating patterned paper designs from the Flowers for Every Season DSP. The sentiment is perfect for so many occasions or to just send a paper hug. The enamel dots and ribbon are also Misty Moonlight, pulling everything together.

Triple Play Thursday from Sugar Creek Stamping 16 July 2020

Celebrate Sunflowers is taking center stage for Thursday's Triple Play. One layout, one stamp set with three cards samples. The layout is a little different, the designer series paper cut at an angle and adhered to the embossed cardstock adds an interesting element. The sunflower die cut image can take on so many different possibilities on the layout. Pick your favorite in the samples below.

Each card today features the new 2020-2022 in-colors. I'm highlighting the Bumble Bee card, such a bright happy color and the sentiment is perfect for any occasion. I embossed the 4 1/4 Square of Bumble Bee card stock with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and added the sunflower die in the same color. The Sunflower image is stamped in Cinnamon Cider and colored with Old Olive, Mango Melody, and Cinnamon Cider Blends. The printed paper is from Flowers for Every Season designer series paper. Add some ribbon and enamel dots for the finishing touch.

My second sample uses the same bundle, featuring Cinnamon Cider card stock. The Pinewood Planks embossing folder adds dimension to the 4 1/4 square of card stock. Grab your Stampin' Blends to color the large Sunflower image. See my Technique Tuesday post earlier this week for hints on coloring with Blends. The leaves are die cut using old olive. For the finishing touch, add your favorite sentiment, and some enamel dots.

And finally, the third card uses a cute flower image from the coordinating stamp set in the Beginner Brochure (Item 152801) Four Season Floral Stamp Set, colored with Sea Side Spray and Old Olive Blends. The card stock is Misty Moonlight and Sea Side Spray. I used the Ornate Garden embossing folder and some springs cut from vellum cardstock.
