Let's get started. Did you know you can heat emboss on foil? Yes you can! I used clear embossing powder on the new Brass foil to create the feather image. And while you have the heat tool out, grab the white embossing powder and heat emboss your favorite sentiment on a piece of early espresso card stock. I used the Just Saying hello greeting. The dies in this set easily coordinate with the greetings.
I like texture, so next I added the faux suede technique to a 1 1/2 x 4 inch piece of basic black card stock. Just take your bone folder and rub it across the black card stock using your thumb as a back stop. Be patient, if takes a bit of time, but the layers of paper will separate and you can pull the layers apart, creating a soft touch "suede" look.
I used the dark black blends marker to color the white crinkle ribbon and adhered to the back of the sentiment, just zig zagging back and forth, no bow tying required. Then add a couple faceted gems for a little sparkle. Every thing is better with sparkle!
Dont' forget the inside. Darker cardstock needs a piece of lighter color card stock to write your notes. I added a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white with a feather image stamped in the corner and a thin strip of the wood grain printed paper at the top.
The end result is full of texture. Ready to add a note and send to someone special.
