Triple Play Thursday from Sugar Creek Stamping - 9 July 2020
One layout, one stamp set and three amazingly cute cards. This week the Hippo Happiness bundle is providing inspiration. The stamp set is super cute, but the dies are so versatile, not only do that cut out the cute animals and butterfly; you also get a great selection of layering stitched labels. A must have set that you will use over and over again.
The side panel on each card is embossed card stock, but you can definitely substitute your favorite printed paper, or even vellum. The Fluttering by … card is my favorite. I like the white card base and layer, with the pop of color. I used the Subtle embossing folder and new rainbow glimmer paper for the strips. The butterflies are Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight. Sprinkle on a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems for sparkle.
Next up, of course I had to create a card with the Hippo, what do you think? Pick your favorite colors, this would also be so cute with a blue Hippo, or maybe a gray Hippo.
And finally, the Unicorn/ Horse. For me a birthday horse, with balloons using some of the new in-colors. Also note the strips; I used strips of card stock stamped with the star image from the Hippo Happiness stamp set and for the third strip, I used a piece of ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Combo pack. A very cute birthday card, ready to go!
