Triple Play Thursday 3 September 2020

Welcome to another Triple Play Thursday.  I'm so excited to share these cards with you.  If you are new to my blog, Triple Play Thursday is where I take one stamp set or bundle, one card layout and create three beautiful cards.

The cards today cover a calendar of seasons using the Arrange A Wreath Bundle from the Annual Catalog.  What a cute set!  I think you will like the samples. Each providing a different use of the Wreath dies and stamp image.  A bundle of products that will provide lots of inspiration.

Arrange a Wreath

The feature card today is for Christmas.  For the next couple months, I will do my best to provide a Christmas or holiday design as one of the three cards, allowing you plenty of time to make your Christmas cards this year.

Arrange A Wreath

The layout is basic.  The printed paper layer, or embossed layer is 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”, layered on a piece of coordinating cardstock that is 5-1/4” x 4” Soft Suede to coordinate with the design of the printed paper.  Stamp the sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink on a piece of printed paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  I love the woodgrains and textures in the paper, beautiful.

The wreathes are cut from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow cardstock, and then layered on top of the printed paper layer.  I have tied a linen thread bow and adhered the Cherry Cobbler poinsettia die cut on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The finishing touch is some Red Rhinestones for holly berries and a little sparkle!   What do you think?

The second card uses one of the stamps to create the wreath. Use Crumb Cake ink to stamp the wreath on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Then using the Beautiful Autumn Bundle from the Holiday Catalog, I layered punched images on top.  I'm using Crushed Curry for the second layer and the card base is Early Espresso.

Arrange A Wreath

The leaves are stamped using Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Suede.  For the punched image, stamp the outline in full strength ink, and then for the background color stamp off the same color once before stamping over the outline.  Another hint, I used the Stamparatus to stamp the wreath background.  Extremely helpful for larger stamped images that may need to be stamped a couple times for an amazing finish.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso, and I have added a double bow tied from linen thread.

The last card today is a bright happy card, for Valentine’s Day or any day you want to let someone know that they are loved.  Magenta Madness is a new In Color that I'm using for the second layer, on top of a Crumb Cake card base.

 Arrange A Wreath

Start with the Crumb Cake card base, then die cut one of each wreath images using printed paper from the In Good Taste DSP.  The bow and hearts are cut from Magenta Madness.  I have embossed the white layer with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and layered the die cut pieces on top.  The white layer is then adhered to of a piece of 5-1/4" x 4" Magenta Madness.  Basic Rhinestones provide added sparkle for the finishing touch.
