Today's Triple Play Thursday features the Nothing's Better Than Bundle from the annual catalog. The combination of sentiments are so much fun and are sure to put a smile on the face of the person receiving your card. The layout is a fun fold, using a quarter sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock.
I'm so glad you are visiting today, I hope to provide lots of inspiration. As always a complete list of supplies used for the feature card can be found at the bottom of this post.
The feature card today is using the word "Chocolate" die cut along with the matching chocolate treat image colored with Stampin' Blends.
The card base is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. The next layer is a 5-1/4" X 4" piece of Early Espresso that I have heat embossed the chocolate pieces stamp using white embossing powder.
The center section of the card, the folding section is a piece of 8-1/2" x 3" Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4". The top white pieces is 2-3/4" x 1-3/4", and the bottom piece is 2-3/4" x 3/4", each sentiment is stamped using Early Espresso ink. I've also added a piece of Whisper White that measures 2-3/4" x 4" to the inside for writing a personal note. Next, I die cut the word "Chocolate" from a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock. The chocolate image for the front is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, and colored using Bronze, Ivory and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. The finishing touch is a couple In Color enamel dots. What do you think?
The second card uses some bright happy colors and use my go to beverage of choice in the morning for the theme.
The 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card base is Magenta Madness. I've stamped the coffee cup image on the left side of a piece of Pumpkin Pie using Pumpkin Pie ink, then embossed the right side of this layer using the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder. The center section uses an 8-1/2" x 3" piece of Magenta Madness. The cup is stamped in Early Espresso, with Pool Party ink to add the background color. The word "Coffee" is cut from a scrap of Early Espresso and the remaining sentiment is stamped using Magenta Madness ink. For the finishing touch I've added some Artistry Blooms Sequins. What do you think about this one? Do you have a favorite?
And the last card today is for my sweet friends waiting on happy hour. My favorite sentiment in the set is "because adulting is hard". Who do you know that needs to receive this hug in the mail?
The card base and center section are Pool Party cardstock. The 5-1/4" x 4" piece is Petal Pink with the cocktail image stamped on the left side in Petal Pink ink. The entire layer is embossed using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. The drink image in the center is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White using Memento black ink. I've used the ice cube drink stamp, first inking it up with Petal Pink, then stamped off once on a scrap of paper, next using a sponge dauber I added a little Calypso Coral ink to the bottom part of the stamp, then stamped onto the paper as shown to get that darker look at the bottom of the drink. The umbrella and slice of lemon are colored with blends Mango Melody and Pool Party, but there are also stamps in this set that will fill in these pieces. For the finishing touch, sprinkle on some Artistry Blooms Sequins.
Leave me a comment I would love to know which is your favorite?
