Sugar Creek Stamping Triple Play Thursday 30 July 2020

Triple Play Thursday 30 July 2020

Welcome to another week of Triple Play Thursday.   We are using the Jar of Flowers stamp set with a matching punch today to make three different cards using one card layout.   I hope you like these projects and they provider inspiration to your next stamping session.

Here are the three cards I made this week from the Jar of Flowers Bundle.

Sugar Creek Stamping

The focal card this week is a shaker card, with a rustic country look.  This fun bundle of products comes with matching clear plastic domes that allow you to create super cute jars that you can fill with … the possibilities are endless.   I've used sequins and glass beads, part of the suite of products.  The sunflowers image is stamped with memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends, Mango Melody, Real Red. Old Olive and Crumb Cake.  The 5 1/4 X 4 inch background layer is Early Espresso card stock embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, and I used a piece of printed paper from the In Good Taste DSP.   For the finishing touch, I heat embossed in gold a sentiments from the Four Season Floral stamp set found in the Beginners Brochure.   A linen thread bow helps pull together the rustic country theme.   Hope you enjoy and are inspired to make this one to share.   A complete list of supplies can be found at the bottom of this post.

Sugar Creek Stamping

The second card is a summer time treat, ice cold lemonade.  Can you taste the goodness?  I used Daffodil Delight card stock as the card base and also for the 5 1/4 X 4 inch layer, embossed with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.   The circle is cut from water color paper with a light Pool Party wash.   The jar lid is heat embossed using silver embossing powder.  The lemon slices are from the Cute Fruit Stamp Set.  I added some Shimmery Crystal Effects for the wet, shimmer look.  The sentiment is from the Pretty Parasol stamp set in the annual catalog, a great coordinating addition if you have the umbrella punch.

The final card today features printed paper from the Flowers for Every Season DSP that coordinates with this suite of products.  The card base is Sea Side Spray, and the DSP color is Misty Moonlight, these two colors go great together.  The flower image is stamped in memento ink and colored with blends.  I used Sea Side Spray, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight to color the flower and leaf images.   The water in the jar is stamped with Pool Party ink, stamped off once and the stems in the jar are colored with Old Olive Blends. The layering stitched circle is cut from vellum card stock, just a little subtle element to help highlight the focal jar of flowers.   The sentiment is from the Season of Flowers stamp set from the Beginners Brochure, designed specifically to coordinate with this bundle.   The bow is tied from one of the ribbons from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack.

Here are the card dimensions:  I used the largest stitched circle for the circle element.

Sugar Creek Stamping Triple Play Thursday 23 July 2020

Sugar Creek Stamping, Triple Play Thursday 23 July 2020

Welcome to another Triple Play Thursday.   This is where I take one stamp set, one layout and design three cards for you to CASE (copy and selectively edit) or to provide inspiration for your own creativity.   I hope you like the stamp set choice today.

If you followed Tuesday Technique last week you got a glimpse of the Senior Years stamp set.  The character images in this set are adorable and perfect for coloring with your Stampin' Blends, or paper piecing as I did on the "senior" lady card.

A couple of the printed paper may not look familiar; no worries the papers are available for order August 4th in the new holiday mini-catalog.  Don't have a catalog yet?  Send me an email.

Stampin' Up!

Cinnamon Cider is the anchor color for the card below.  I colored the image using Night of Navy and Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends. The 1X 5 inch strip uses the faux suede technique on Crumb Cake card stock.  The plaid printed paper coordinates with the card base and pants on the cute retiree.   This plaid design is only one of the color combinations from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper in the catalog, a must have for this fall.  Add a linen thread knot and sprinkle a few enamel dots for a finishing touch.

Stampin' Up!

The card below features paper piecing, an alternative to coloring.  Just like when we were younger, using paper to dress your paper dolls.   I stamped the images on printed paper for the skirt and umbrella or coordinating cardstock for the blouse.  This technique does require some fussy cutting. I cut out the skirt, blouse and then punched the umbrella with the coordinating punch.   The background printed paper is from Playing with Patterns.  The umbrella and skirt are from the new holiday catalog,Magic in the Night DSP, coming August 4th.

Stampin' Up!

The final card today, very similar to the first card, but I could not help coordinate the printed paper with the Blends colors used on the stamped image.   The dominant color for this card is Misty Moonlight on of the new in-colors.  Night of Navy is the coordinating color, along with Sea Side Spray.   A beautiful color combination to try on your next card.
